Skating Rink Rules

 

Here are some rules for the skating at Bridgwater 
 
Age restrictions
Children under three years old are not allowed on the rink, and children ages three to 14 must be accompanied by an adult over 18.
 
Management
Management has the right to refuse entry to the rink, and there decision is final. 
 
General rules
Skaters skate at their own risk. Skaters should skate at a moderate pace in an anti-clockwise direction, and keep moving in the rink, If you want to stand still and chat, you should step off the rink 
 
Some general rules for skating include:


Obey the rink guards' instructions immediately.

Do not skate on the rink while the ice groomer is in operation.

Do not play games, push, shove, or engage in horseplay.

Do not bring food or drink onto the rink

If a customer is not following instruction from the event staff, they are increasing the risk for themselves, and for other customers. In this case the customer would be asked to leave the rink.

ALL SKATERS ARE REMINDED THAT THEY SKATE AT THEIR OWN RISK

This list of Rules outlines ways we intend to reduce the risk to you, our customers on the rink.

You must:

  • Do skate at a moderate pace in an anti-clockwise direction
  • Do keep moving on the rink Step off if you want to stand still and chat.
  • Do wear trousers and long sleeves.
  • Do wear gloves.
  • Do enjoy yourself.
  • Do take your time in the exchange area, use the seating provided.
  • Do follow instructions of skating marshals.
  • Use bins provided.
  • Secure your skates and ensure they are worn correctly

Please Don't:

  • No phones or cameras on the rink
  • No carrying of others including children and infants.
  • No anti-social behaviour. (This includes shouting, swearing, spitting, fighting, vandalism, petting, bullying and boisterousness).
  • No entry onto the rink without skates.
  • No littering or smoking within the entire site.
  • No hockey stick, puck or ball playing on the rink or in the spectator areas.
  • Don't sit, climb, or put feet on the barrier
  • Don't use personal stereos or other headsets permitted.
  • Do not eat, drink, smoke or use mobile phones on the rink
  • Do not play tag or any other games on the rink
  • Do not skate in chains.
